Design & Construction Module Updates 2016

Updated version of CMSIS project and Timer Project : I have recognized that the previously prepared CMSIS project (at the bottom) has some difficulties in order to download and run them on your university computer at this year. Because it is prepared about three years ago and ST has a number of updates related with CMSIS library and the range of Cortex-4 uCs. Therefore, I have updated the project for current CMSIS framework and also I have extremely simplified the size of project by removing unnecessary parts of the library during your course. Feel free to download it from here.

If you are happy with project or my suggestions, could you write me a quick recommendation over my Linkedin profile ? It is quite valuable for me. Thanks for your time.

Design & Construction Module Updates 2015

If you are in software group of the Design & Construction Module, please do read following request for me:

This year, I would like to raise my Linkedin profile so I really need your great recommendation over Linkedin. If you are happy with my helps during lab sessions, please spare me a minute in order to write a recommendation.

If you are not sure how you can start to make a new recommendation over linkedin, you can easily follow those steps:

  • You can send me connection request in order to make recommendation because we must be a first-degree connectioQR_Code_mylinkedinPagen in order to leave a recommendation over Linkedin as far as I know.
  • After having a connection over Linkedin, jump to my LinkedIn profile.
  • In the pull-down menu at the blue link labelled “Send a message.” The fourth item in the pull-down menu is Recommend. Click on that link.
  • You will be prompted to choose a category in which to recommend me so you can select the “Teaching Assistant – Design and Construction Module” from the drop-down menu.
  • Hopefully, you can write your great comments inside the text-box.
  • If you are not sure how the recommendation should look like, you can have a look examples : http://www.wikihow.com/Write-a-LinkedIn-Recommendation

Many thanks for your valuable time.

Related/Requested posts&tutorials about  D&C Module will be posted here!

All posts are opened to comments in order to give opportunity Design & Construction students to leave a comment if you have any related problem.

This year’s final project for D&C Module is the Weather Station which is pretty similar to previous year’s project tasks.

Common Request : This weekend (Week 2), I am planning to upload here a new Simple Timer Project with all necessary files in order to avoid downloading some library files from ST. By this file, you will have a entire Timer project which is implemented by CMSIS library. You can easily add source files to this project or you can remove any available source files.

Some of my Completed Projects on STMF4

  • Graphic LCD Stuffs and Menu
  • Servomotor Control
  • Remote Controller
  • JSON Parsing and Construction on both environment as the embeddedfeatures_json side (STMF4 board) and PC side (MATLAB GUI). I have tried a number of data packaging ways in terms of the efficiency, simplicity and modularity especially in embedded side. After XML and some application specific methods, I have chosen JSON as a best based on project concerns. I will share more details here in the next few days.
  • Humidity and Temperature Implementation (SHT11 – Digital Humidity SHT11_SensorSensor from Sensirion) :Temperature and Humidity parts on SHT11 Sensor are implemented on STM32F4Discovery Board and the extension board with LCD, Serial and other peripherals. The running code is on the video!

  • Light Sensor (TSL252) Implementation

Light_Sensor

Light Sensor is implemented based on a couple of band intervals to check whether there is a fire alarm or not.

MQ7_Gas_Sensor

  • Gas Sensor (MQ7) Implementation

Gas Sensor is measuring the level of CO to detect whether the fire possibility is exist or not.

LM335

  • Temperature Sensor (LM335) Implementation

Based on calibration and shifting the narrow range of sensors to wide range has done on this part.

More details are coming!
